We’re heading into the first part of the competitive season in outdoor track. I’ve got a team full of freshmen and sophomores. So, this week I’ve been thinking about the importance of warmup routines and good race day habits. Specifically, how much and how long should athletes warm up for the 800m and 1600m races.
